Dhanak kay rang hain saat (دھنک کے رنگ ہیں سات) is poetry for children. This book is created with Autistic Children in mind to assist them in achieving their full potential. This book is equally relevant for all other children to explore and discover their talents. The poems in the book narrate a story about a family and their lifestyle. Most of the poems are about real people and are based on real life events. The aim of writing this book is to improve imaginative thinking and creativity in autistic children, to take a course of self-exploration and learning to acquire awareness of their hidden talents and abilities to achieve success and feel contented.

About Author

Sara Athar is a graduate from International Islamic University Islamabad Pakistan; she did her LLB (hons.) Shariah Law in 1997. Poetry comes naturally to Sara and has been creating poetry for children for over 20 years. Her main areas of creative interests focus on autistic children to enable them to know their hidden potential. She has travelled around the world with her husband Professor Dr. Athar Hussain, this has inspired her to write poems in various cultural contexts and emotional experiences. This has brought a novelty filled with passion and pride to her creative mind. Sara is also passionate about learning Weather Forecasting and Research being influenced by risks associated with Global Warming. She has co-published two research papers on weather forecasting in a peer reviewed and well reputed International Journals. Currently Sara is working on a project to educate and to teach autistic children basic day-to-day coping and living skills. Fatima Hussain Qureshi is her only child. Fatima is 8 years old and student of Grade 1 in a primary school in Islamabad Pakistan. She is a passionate artist and loves to play musical instruments, especially drum and xylophone. Fatima if full of intelligence and Sara mentors her to achieve her full potential.
